Atlanta Police are seeking help in locating a 25-year-old pregnant woman who hasn’t been seen in days.
Victoria Harris was last seen leaving Piedmont Hospital around 9:20 a.m. on May 16, according to police. She was reported missing after police responded to a call around 1 a.m. on May 17 from the 1900 block of Peachtree Road NW.
According to Channel 2 Action News, Harris stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, with short brown dreadlocks. At the time she disappeared, she was wearing dark blue and a black shirt but was not wearing any shoes.
A family representative revealed Harris is several months pregnant and struggling with a mental health disorder. After seeking psychiatric help at Piedmont Hospital, Harris was expected to be admitted to a long-term facility but was discharged due to her pregnancy.
Her sister, Bethea, told FOX 5 that Harris left the hospital without her phone or identification and lacks access to public transportation and support services.
“It’s very frightening, knowing that she’s pregnant with a growing baby and she doesn’t have the care that she needs. She should be taking prenatal vitamins, knowing that she went into the hospital with her feet injured, knowing that she doesn’t have a MARTA card or debit card, it’s very scary not to know where she is.”
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact APD Homicide/Adult Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.
