According to an NYPD source, Michelle Trachtenberg, the actress known for her roles in films like Harriet the Spy and TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has passed away.
Following a 911 call on Wednesday morning, the police discovered an unconscious woman in a Manhattan apartment, later identified as Michelle Trachtenberg by an NYPD representative.
She remained with the series until its conclusion in 2003.
Michelle Trachtenberg solidified her career with various significant TV appearances, portraying Celeste on Six Feet Under and featuring on shows like House, Law & Order: Criminal Intent (recalling her first television credit on Law & Order in 1991), and Weeds.
She most recently appeared in two episodes of Max’s Gossip Girl revival.

It is unclear what she was working on at the time of her death, but she was active on social media. In the past week, she posted photos from her previous red carpets and reflected on the fashion.
