He joked that his next role won’t require him getting up every day at 4am.
An emotional Pagey said he had formed close bonds with his colleagues at Triple M that would last a lifetime.
‘I love this radio station and all the people who work here. It’s a family,’ he said.Â
The breakfast radio host (shown in the picture with co-hosts Jess Eva in the middle and Mark Geyer on the right) expressed that it was time for a new chapter following more than ten years at Triple M.
A statement from SCA confirmed the decision shortly after his announcement.Â
The press release stated, ‘After nearly twenty years with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), Chris ‘Pagey’ Page from Triple M Sydney has revealed his decision to leave the station.’
‘Beginning his radio career at Newcastle’s NXFM in 2003, Pagey then moved to Triple M Adelaide, before 2Day FM’s Hot 30 night show brought him back to Sydney.
‘In 2010 Pagey joined Triple M Sydney, anchoring a bold breakfast radio experiment called The Grill Team, that included household names from the NRL world. He has remained at Triple M Sydney’s Breakfast show, most recently as anchor on MG, Jess and Pagey and has become a much-loved member of the Triple M family.
‘Pagey will sign off from the Triple M Breakfast show for the final time on Friday 2 December as he pursues his interests outside radio.’

He has been going through some significant life changes in recent years.
Last year, he revealed he was finally sober after spending a month in a treatment facility for alcohol addiction.
He bravely explained his situation on air, saying he wanted to be honest with listeners about why he’d been absent from the show.
Page told his co-hosts he hoped speaking out would help eradicate the stigma surrounding rehab and addiction.
The radio anchor said there’s ‘nothing wrong’ with accepting when ‘something feels out of control’, and there’s always help available for people who need it.
