Diddy's ex forced to read her explicit messages aloud in cross examination
R&B artist Cassie found herself required during questioning on Thursday to read aloud to a jury her explicit messages with former partner Sean “Diddy” Combs, some of which illustrated her excitement for Combs-arranged encounters with other men that she had previously stated repulsed her.
During the fourth day of the music magnate’s trial for sex trafficking in Manhattan, Combs’ attorneys commenced cross-examining the prosecution’s key witness, a trial anticipated to span roughly two months.

Allegations from federal prosecutors claim that Combs exploited his position as a prominent music executive and businessperson to coercively involve Cassie and other women in these encounters with sex workers, referred to as “freak-offs.”

In 2023, Cassie took legal action against Combs, alleging years of physical and sexual mistreatment. The lawsuit was rapidly settled for $US20 million ($31.2 million) — a sum Cassie divulged for the first time on Wednesday — but numerous comparable legal complaints emerged from other women.

Estevao inquired whether it was “reasonable to assume” that Combs’ reputation suffered irreparable damage after she filed a lawsuit, unveiling the notion of “freak-offs.” Cassie replied, “I can see how that might be the case.”

Combs, 55, has been jailed since September. He faces at least 15 years in prison if convicted.
