A male individual is currently in a serious state, and a driver is facing charges following a recent collision in the southern part of Sydney.
Police responded to a report of a car accident on Tyrrell Street in Rockdale around 9:50 pm.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found three 19-year-old men present, one of them being stuck inside a Toyota vehicle.
Police allege the car was involved in a crash five minutes earlier on Railway Parade in Kogarah, where parked cars had been hit.
The Toyota allegedly drove from the scene without stopping.
Two were treated by paramedics, with one taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A second man was in a serious but stable condition.
The third man, the alleged driver, took a breath test at the scene which allegedly returned a positive result.
He was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing before being taken to Kogarah Police Station where he underwent a second breath test.
He allegedly blew a reading of 0.203.
He was charged with aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, causing bodily harm by misconduct and a drink driving offence.
He has been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
