MAFS 2025 sneak peak reveals a spectacular wedding fail that has this season's 'Fairytale Bride' in tears

A new sneak peak from Married at First Sight 2025 promises fans they can look forward to plenty of cringe-worthy drama this season.

The short clip showcases 29-year-old bride Jacqui Burfort experiencing a wedding ‘fail’ of massive proportions, leaving the New Zealand-born entrepreneur in tears.

The trailer begins with the narrator asking whether any ‘man on earth’ can match with high-achiever Jacqui.

Known as an entrepreneur, Jacqui is heard in the trailer listing her impressive accomplishments which include being crowned Miss New Zealand.

She boasts that she has read 2000 books, run a marathon and holds a double degree and first class honours in law.

Jacqui is also a certified yoga instructor and dancer.

‘It’s impossible to find someone on my level,’ she says in the trailer, adding, ‘I’m too ambitious, I’m too much to handle.’

Looking stunning in a blue wedding gown for the ceremony, Jacqui’s after-party is also previewed.

The mishap occurs when her MAFS groom Ryan Donnelly tries to sweep her off her feet for a romantic waltz but ends up dropping her to the floor during a dance dip.

The trailer ends with a distraught Jacqui in tears.

Recent reports from Daily Mail Australia have indicated that Jacqui and Ryan are on track to become the most divisive couple in the history of the show, surpassing even the well-known Bronte and Harrison drama from 2023.

Sources close to the production have revealed that Jacqui, a self-proclaimed ‘tell-it-like-it-is’ entrepreneur, and Ryan, 37, an outspoken project manager, are ‘absolute bananas’ both on and off-screen.

Fans expecting another run-of-the-mill love story should brace themselves for fireworks, backstabbing, and the kind of chaos that will make past seasons look like a Disney fairytale.

‘Ryan is all about pro-masculinity – he champions men embracing their strength and individuality, but let’s be honest, viewers are going to be just as taken by his striking good looks,’ an insider spilled.

‘Meanwhile, Jacqui is set to steal the show in her own way. She’s unapologetically fierce, and women everywhere will feel empowered watching her stand up for what’s right. They’re a dynamic duo, and audiences won’t be able to look away.’

A well-placed source revealed, ‘Their journey on the show will make Bronte and Harrison seem like a happily-ever-after romance.

Every dinner party, every commitment ceremony, they’re either at each other’s throats or dragging the rest of the group into their mess.’

It’s not just their on-screen antics that have people talking.

Another insider revealed, ‘They both have this unpredictable energy. It’s hard to tell who’s worse.’

One minute Jacqui’s tearing Ryan apart for something petty, the next she’s on the couch crying and everyone is falling for her crocodile tears. It’s bananas – you won’t know whether to laugh, cry, or turn the TV off.’

The pair’s relentless drama hasn’t just affected their own relationship but has also driven a wedge through the group.

According to insiders, the other couples either avoid them entirely or get sucked into their disputes.

‘Their toxic chemistry divides the group. It’s exhausting for everyone involved,’ a source added.

‘They argue like it’s a sport, and the rest of the cast has to suffer through it. But you can’t look away – it’s train wreck TV at its finest.’

Even the show’s experts – no strangers to volatile pairings – were reportedly blindsided by Jacqui and Ryan’s intensity.

One source hinted, ‘It’s clear they were matched to bring drama, but I don’t think anyone expected this level of chaos.

‘The experts are often left speechless, which is saying something.’

Married At First Sight returns to Channel Nine after the Australian Open. Stream seasons 1-11 on 9Now.
