Police said the fight took place about 10.15pm and no injuries were reported.

The group fled the scene when officers arrived.

A 27-year-old man was arrested nearby and released pending inquiries, police said.

A spokesperson for Melbourne Victory said the club was aware of the incident.

“The club is collaborating with various parties to collect more details to establish any potential link to last night’s derby,” a spokesperson stated.

“Melbourne Victory does not condone any form of violence or antisocial behaviour.

“As the matter is currently under Victoria Police investigation, the club is not in a position to make any further comment.”
