A woman has been accused of murder following the discovery of a deceased girl outside a residence in Queensland’s Bundaberg area.
Chief Inspector Grant Marcus said she was declared dead and a crime scene was established at the Regency Road home.
Emergency responders were summoned to the address in Moore Park Beach around 4.45 pm where they encountered an unresponsive three-year-old girl.
A 32-year-old woman has now been charged with murder, police said this morning.
“Our detectives and our scenes of crime officers are going through the process of investigating what’s going on,” Marcus said.
<span"The police were alerted by multiple individuals to the situation, although the specific caller remains unknown at this time. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement sadly found the child deceased on the premises," stated a police official.
Police said the woman and child were known to each other but wouldn’t provide any more details about their relationship.
