Law enforcement at the federal level is currently interrogating a man regarding his potential role in the bold murder of Brian Thompson, who served as the CEO of United Healthcare. The tragic incident took place right outside a hotel in New York City.
Authorities have detained the unidentified individual for inquiries in Altoona, Pennsylvania, which is approximately 280 miles to the west of the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The shooting of Thompson occurred on December 4.
The man was found with a similar gun used in Thompson’s assassination, according to NBC News.
Thompson, 50, was fatally shot in cold blood at around 6:45 am on December 4 as he arrived for an investor conference at the Hilton hotel.
Shocking surveillance footage captured the moment a masked and hooded gunman snuck up behind Thompson and unloaded several shots.
Thompson died after being shot multiple times in the back and leg, New York Police said.
