Police in southeast Georgia are looking for a 15-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen since Thursday.
The Nahunta Police Department reported that Nahlani “Angel” Santiago had gone missing as her family provided a note indicating she planned to harm herself.
Wearing a black t-shirt with a moon and star pattern, black and pink pajama pants, a possible camouflage jacket, black cloth boots, and carrying a black Mercedes Benz Adidas backpack, Santiago’s mother described her daughter’s appearance.
Authorities mentioned that the girl might be with a friend and could be located at an unoccupied house, possibly in a wooded area. They urged parents to monitor their children’s social media usage and search their properties, especially any vacant homes, for any signs of the missing girl. Additionally, they noted that Santiago was a regular visitor to The Rink of Waycross, a local skating rink in Georgia.
Police said they have interviewed family and friends and canvassed local businesses and neighbors for video. Local, state, and federal agencies are assisting.
Santiago is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 90 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She has a birthmark above her left eye and a scar on her elbow.
