West Virginia officials said no graves were disturbed at a cemetery where a deceased baby was discovered last week.
On Thursday, someone dialed 911 upon stumbling upon an infant while adorning a burial site at Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock. A damaged coffin was located close by, on a slope, as reported by WOWK.
The infant is thought to be a male who was just a couple of months old. Cabell County Sheriff Doug Adams mentioned that there are no signs of disturbance in any graves at Baylous Cemetery, as per WSAZ.
Adams said the incident appears to be isolated. Meanwhile, the infant’s body was sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office.
