Bart Johnson, an actor married to Blake Lively’s sister, has expressed remorse for his recent negative comments about Justin Baldoni amid the ongoing legal disagreement between Baldoni and Lively.
The conflict between “It Ends With Us” actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni recently took a new twist when Bart Johnson, Lively’s brother-in-law and known for his role in “High School Musical,” publicly apologized for his critical remarks about Baldoni.
In December 2024, Johnson posted on X (previously Twitter) seemingly making veiled references to Baldoni. The post mentioned a “man bun,” a hairstyle once sported by Baldoni, and labeled someone as a “fraud.”
In the now-deleted post, Johnson, who is married to Lively’s sister Robyn, stated, “He dons the ‘costume’ of a hero, man bun included. He has utilized all the trendy phrases and buzzwords for his podcasts. None of it is authentic. It is all performance. And everyone has been deceived. For years.”
However, on January 28, Johnson released a statement on X expressing remorse for his earlier comments. He stated, “Whenever I have made unkind remarks about someone, I have regretted it. Fortunately, that is almost never the case, and certainly not when I am at my best.”
“Regardless of the truth or my opinion, even if I am attempting to convey a truth or defend someone, it is never appropriate. Even in situations where it may seem ‘justified’ or the right course of action, it makes no difference. There is a more constructive approach. It falls short of the standards I set for myself, and I regret it.”
In his apology, Johnson reaffirmed his dedication to positivity, stating, “If you follow me, you know it is rare to find more than one instance where I have criticized anyone on social media. It is not my style… We all have imperfections, and I am certainly a work in progress, striving to improve and be better.”

A New York judge has scheduled the trial regarding Lively’s allegations against Baldoni for March 9, 2026. Both parties have exchanged accusations and presented “evidence” aimed at discrediting one another.
