Reform will NOT do a deal with the Tories or Boris Johnson because they aren’t ‘honourable’, Nigel Farage blasts

REFORM will NOT do a deal with the Tories because they aren’t “honourable”, Nigel Farage blasted today.

Speaking at a farmer’s inheritance tax protest in North London, the party leader shut down talk of a pact between himself and Kemi Badenoch.

Mr Farage also ruled out doing a deal with Boris Johnson if he ever made a surprise return to front line politics.

The leader of the Reform party, who participated in the demonstration with boxing champion Derek Chisora, emphasized the importance of trust in forming alliances, stating, “When making agreements with others, you must feel confident that when you shake their hand, you are dealing with a person of integrity.

“After the betrayal post the 2019 election, we do not believe them to be honourable.

“Simple as that, so the answer is no.”

Mr Farage insisted his party’s five MPs are doing a better job than the 121 Tory representatives in the Commons.

He said: “I think we’re the ones providing the challenge. We’re the ones out doing stuff every day.”

“Frankly, today’s the 100th day of Kemi Badenoch’s leadership – it doesn’t stand for anything.”

Speculation about a potential collaboration between Reform and the Conservative Party surged after Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick avoided ruling out the possibility of holding confidential discussions on the show Never Mind The Ballots.

But both Kemi Badenoch and a Reform spokesperson were straight out the bat to knock the idea down.

At the farmer’s protest Mr Farage also blasted Rachel Reeves’ inheritance tax raid on the agricultural sector.

He told hundreds of distressed workers: “I’m pleased to see the campaign is ramping up. It’s growing right across the country.

“The argument that I have presented to them, and I believe they are receptive to it, is that currently, 100 Labour Members of Parliament represent rural constituencies. If these MPs witness local communities rallying behind the cause we stand for, they will inevitably begin to feel uneasy. This pressure will prompt them to lobby No 10, causing additional headaches for the government, which is already facing significant challenges.”

Mr Farage called for “horrible” inheritance levies to be scrapped altogether.

He said: “You’re basically taxing money that’s been taxed already as a death tax, and it’s horrible.

“People living in semi-detached houses in London are now dragged into inheritance tax.

“And yes, of course, you can do seven-year planning and all the rest of it, but unlikely things happen. I honestly believe just getting rid of inheritance tax as a whole would be a good thing.”
