A woman wanted for the murder of a CalFire captain last month has been captured in Mexico.
Rebecca Marodi, 49, was discovered deceased at her residence in Marodi on February 17, according to a report by CrimeOnline. The primary suspect in this case is her partner, Yolanda Olejniczak Marodi.

Reports from US Customs and Border Protection revealed that Olejniczak crossed into Mexico using her own vehicle on the evening of the crime, per KUSI. Authorities in Baja California eventually located her at a hotel in Mexicali on Saturday. Following the verification of her identity, she was transferred to US Marshals at the Calexico West Port of Entry.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said she will be booked into jail on a murder charge.
According to court documents, Olejniczak previously pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the passing of her former spouse, James Olejniczak, during the early 2000s.
