The 32-year-old reality star, who was recently seen sharing a kiss with the 22-year-old American dancer during their vacation in Mexico, shared his celebrations on Instagram Stories. He posted pictures of himself among the crowd at Wembley, proudly displaying a Sunderland flag in his excitement.

The dramatic moment came during the final game against Sheffield United when, with just five minutes left on the clock, a young substitute player, set to make a controversial move to Brighton in the upcoming summer, scored a crucial goal that ensured Sunderland’s return to the top-flight Premier League.

Chris, who met JoJo in the Celebrity Big Brother house, captioned the post: ‘One of the best days of our lives, in the happiest stage of my life’.

JoJo — who recently declared she no longer identifies as a lesbian — is ‘telling people that Chris is the one in a dramatic twist in the way she has lived her life over the last few years,’ the insider said.

‘She feels more alive than she ever has been with anyone else. With Chris, she realised that this is exactly what she has wanted for so long.’

The insider confirmed the romance, stating: ‘The rumours are true, they are a thing and it is going very well.’

More than just a fleeting romance, JoJo sees a long-term future with the reality star.

He treated her to a mountain of birthday presents, they enjoyed breakfast together on the morning of her big day and one snap even showed Chris with his hand high up on JoJo’s leg.

She penned in the caption: ‘This years birthday week was more magical than anything!

‘Full of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good meaningful cries.

‘Absolutely beautiful, wouldn’t change a single thing a week I’ll remember for the rest of my life.’

Fans have gone wild for JoJo’s sweet on stage tribute to Chris as they took to social media to share clips from her recent show in Mexico on Saturday night.

Performing a cover of Kim Carnes’ 1981 hit Bette Davis Eyes, for the final chorus JoJo changed the lyrics from ‘She’s got Bette Davis eyes’ to ‘Chris Hughes’ eyes’.

Beaming at the crowd, JoJo couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as her fans went wild, with Chris believed to also be sat front row.
