Reba McEntire proved she is more than just a country superstar when she led her own TV show — appropriately called Reba.
The TV series aired for six seasons stretching from October 2001 to February 2007. Reba McEntire played the role of a single mother looking after her three children – portrayed by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Scarlett Pomers, and Mitch Holleman. Her ex-husband, played by Christopher Rich, and his new spouse, portrayed by Melissa Peterman, also featured prominently in the show.
Even after the sitcom ended, the cast has maintained a strong bond. Swisher mentioned in June 2019 that her kids see McEntire as part of their family. Swisher, known for her role in “Sweet Magnolias”, expressed exclusively to “Us Weekly” that McEntire is like an aunt to them. She mentioned, “She spoils them a lot. I choose not to have her babysit as I prefer to spend quality time with her when we meet. “
Swisher hinted at the possibility of a revival of the show “Reba” during that time. She stated, “I believe it could happen and I am sure everyone would be thrilled about it. We share a lot of love for the show and have very fond memories of our time working on it. It felt like we ended it prematurely and I think there is a lot of good feelings towards the idea, and I believe everyone would be on board with it.”
Not only would the cast be on board, but there have already been discussions. “I know there has definitely been a lot of talk about it,” she divulged.
