Mystery as British social media manager, 33, and her South African fiance are found dead in separate rooms in Vietnamese villa

A British social media manager and her South African fiance were mysteriously found dead in separate rooms in a Vietnamese villa on Boxing Day.

Greta Marie Otteson, aged 33, and her 36-year-old partner, Arno Els Quinton, were reported to have been consuming wine at the Silverbell villa in Hoi An Town, located in the central Quang Nam province.

They were later discovered dead in separate rooms by shocked resort staff who arrived to clean the property on December 26.

Allegedly, Greta, possibly from Wales, was found lifeless in room 101, while officers had to forcefully enter Arno’s room, which was locked, and discovered him deceased as well.

A Quang Nam Provincial Police spokesman said: ‘There were no signs of ransacking at the scene. The victims’ belongings and phones were untouched.’

Police also confirmed there were no signs of physical trauma.

Authorities at the scene said they collected empty bottles in the room and will be testing them for further analysis.

Their friends have taken to social media to express their grief and admiration, with one individual expressing, ‘Greta had an unwavering love for Arno and was his pillar of support, providing him with the stability he needed to pursue his endeavors.’

It contained a montage of clips showing the couple holding hands and walking around Hoi An, Vietnam, with Greta in a white dress.

‘This shoot was charged with so much emotion, reminding us how powerful the union of two souls can be. We will miss you great souls,’ Red Eye Studios, the video company captioned the clip.
