Hugh Jackman has been slammed by fans after sharing a seemingly innocuous post on social media.
The Deadpool & Wolverine star, 56, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a series of photos and clips showing the actor deep in rehearsal.
Hugh was brushing up for his anticipated performances at Radio City Music Hall for his show New York, With Love.
One of the videos featured Hugh belting out the tune The Greatest Show from his 2017 big screen musical The Greatest Showman.
However, not all fans were impressed with his evident talent, taking to the comments to slam the star over his new romance with Sutton Foster, 49.
The newly minted-couple were spotted passionately kissing for the first time this week, after their secret relationship was exposed.

The actor who played Wolverine and the Broadway star Sutton were visibly in love, showing affection by kissing each other while at the burger chain In-And-Out in San Fernando.
Prior to this, the couple were swarmed by rumours of conducting an affair before exiting their marriages.
In the comments of Hugh’s rehearsal post, fans couldn’t help but weigh in on his newfound love.Â
‘I used to hold Hugh Jackman’s work in high regard, but my respect for him has diminished after the confirmation of him having an affair with Sutton Foster,’ expressed a disappointed fan.
Another replied with a long-winded post explaining why they thought Hugh’s new relationship was so triggering to fans.
‘What seems to be misunderstood is the reason behind his fans’ disappointment towards him. Hugh has crafted his public image as a respectful and caring husband and family man,’ the discussion continued.
‘People believed he was real n separated him from the normal Hollywood BS behaviour. He showed ppl that he was DIFFERENT. So hearing that he possibly had an affair is heartbreaking.’

One churlish commenter went a step further, branding Hugh’s post as ‘pathetic’ and his relationship with Sutton a ‘fake.’
‘Bro…you look pathetic. 56 years old and doing this nonsense. The worst fake relationship I’ve seen in all of Hollywood,’ they chided.
It wasn’t all negativity though, with many fans offering their support to Hugh and telling the critics to ‘mind their own business.’
‘No one knows the details of his and Deb’s relationship, maybe people need to just stop judging and keep their nose out of other peoples lives, one fan offered. referring to Hugh’s ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
‘As long as they are consenting adults who cares what they do in their private life! It’s called private for a reason!’
Another agreed with the sentiment, adding: ‘Every person should take care of their personal life. and not get into someone else’s life.Â
‘If you don’t like Hugh, then you don’t need to shout about it under his posts, you can just pass by, unfollow the person.’
A third offered a simple: ‘Jackman, you have the right to be happy.’

It was a similar story over on the pop culture account Deuxmoi after they shared images of Hugh kissing Sutton in the In-And-Out carpark.
Fans flooded the comments deriding the relationship as ‘fake.’
‘Staged,’ one fan concluded. ‘Not buying it at all,’ while another offered a similar: ‘I normally do not care but this just seems icky for some reason. Like the chemistry is off.
Yet another fan jumped in with: ‘Kissing in car like that is so performative.’
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that Hugh and Sutton were engaging in a relationship while still married to their respective partners.Â
Hugh and Sutton’s outing comes after the Logan star attended a performance of Sutton’s production of Once Upon A Mattress in Los Angeles, and after the pair were seen holding hands on a date in Santa Monica.
The two stars had previously shared the stage on Broadway when the played the leads in an acclaimed production of the classic musical The Music Man.
