The Rizzler is bringing his charm to the Thunderbolts cast, though Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasnât fully in the loop.
Christian Joseph, known as The Rizzler at the mere age of 9, recently attended a special screening of an upcoming Marvel movie on April 30 at New York’s iPic Theater. The event was organized by the Cinema Society and was graced by various stars from the film including Louis-Dreyfus, Lewis Pullman, Florence Pugh, and Wyatt Russell.
Donned in a Red Guardian costume, Joseph caught the attention of many as he struck his signature pose, the ‘rizz face’, which involves a cheeky chin stroke and a playful camera expression. This young social media sensation charmed the attendees with his delightful presence.
David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian, skipped the event, but Joseph certainly kept the vibe alive.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Louis-Dreyfus joked about meeting the viral star, starting with, “Who knew?”
However, despite his viral fame, one of the stars from the movie, when asked about the young sensation, candidly admitted to not recognizing him, stating, “Um, I really didn’t know that, and no offense to that nice child, but I didn’t know who he was.” It seems The Rizzler’s popularity may have not reached every corner just yet.
The interviewer quipped, “You guys looked very friendly, so Iâm sure heâll be completely fine.”
Louis-Dreyfus added, “Yeah, he was pretty cute because he showed me his moves. He was dressed like Red Guardian, so I said ‘show me your Red Guardian moves,’ not knowing he was The Rizzler.”

Joseph, who boasts 1.6 million TikTok followers, later posted a video from the screening, still in character. He walks up to the counter and says, “Two tickets please,” prompting the employee to ask, “For what movie?” Joseph points to his Red Guardian outfit, hoping for a lightbulb moment.
Joseph first went viral on Halloween 2023, dressed as Black Panther and delivering hilarious commentary that earned him 2.5 million likes. His iconic pose quickly turned him into an internet sensation.
“Rizz” â short for “charisma” â refers to flirting or charm, and it was crowned Oxford University Pressâs Word of the Year in 2023.
Thunderbolts, based on the Marvel comic, follows a team of anti-heroes forced into a life-or-death situation.
Directed by Jake Schreier of Paper Towns fame, the film hits theaters on May 2, 2025.
