Donald Trump proudly hangs mug shot right outside Oval Office after insisting ‘it’s No. 1 booking photo of all time’

DONALD Trump’s infamous mug shot has been spotted in a frame hanging right outside the Oval Office.

Trump hasn’t been discreet when it comes to displaying the renowned photo taken at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia. Now, it seems he has a direct view of it daily from the Resolute Desk.

The decoration was captured on Thursday when Trump and some of his cabinet members met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the picture, Trump can be seen smiling with the group, while in the background, a framed New York Post front page featuring his mugshot prominently displayed in the center.

The New York native president has been a big fan of the paper since the 1980s when the city socialite was often pictured in their spreads.

Plus, the editorial team endorsed him for president ahead of the 2024 election.

In the past year, Trump has compared the shot to Elvis Pressley and Frank Sinatra’s booking photos, calling it the “number one mug shot of all time.”

“It’s really an amazing thing,” he said during a roundtable with Black voters in June.

“Since it happened, the support among the Black community and Hispanic community has skyrocketed.”

He took the picture on August 24, 2023, after voluntarily submitting himself to jail on racketeering and related charges.

During that period, Georgia’s former district attorney, Fani Willis, had brought forth a series of charges against Trump and some of his supporters, accusing them of collaborating to alter the results of the 2020 election.

However, the first crack in her case came after she was accused of having an inappropriate romantic relationship with her lead prosecutor by a defendant in January 2024.

The prosecutor, Nathan Wade, was removed from the case in March, and Willis and her office were removed in December.

She’s appealed that decision, but even if she is reinstated, the case cannot continue while Trump is in office, as the president is officially protected from state-level prosecutions.

TRUMP’S FIRST 100 DAYS

Trump continues to fan the flames in bombshell executives as on Thursday he unleashed sweeping revenge tariffs against every country that taxes US goods.

The president has launched an all-out trade war as he feels the US is unfairly taxed while doing business with other nations, even some of America’s biggest allies.

He already plans to impose a 25% tax on Canada and Mexico and has cracked down a 10% fine on China, but the European Union appears to be next on the chopping block.

Meanwhile, Trump sparked fury among high-profile entertainers after dismissing the John F. Kennedy Center’s board and electing himself chairman.

Liberal actors and musicians are now stepping away from the cultural institution in apparent protest at the takeover.

And after weeks of warring with senators, Robert F Kennedy Jr has officially secured the nomination as health secretary.

But he made a few enemies along the way, including GOP heavy hitter Mitch McConnell, who voted against him.

However, Trump has simply dismissed the move, and called the Kentucky senator “bitter” for not riding the MAGA train to the end.

“I feel sorry for Mitch. He’s not equipped mentally,” Trump told reporters.

“He wasn’t equipped 10 years ago mentally; he’d let the Republican Party go to hell.”
