Drake has settled his legal dispute with iHeartMedia over allegations tied to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, “Not Like Us.”

In November 2024, the rapper filed a petition in Bexar County, Texas, alleging that Universal Music Group (UMG) had made improper payments to iHeartMedia to increase the radio airplay of a track that he and Lamar were both associated with.

Drake claimed that the song, as well as its album art and music video, wrongly depicted him as a criminal involved in serious offenses such as being a sex offender and supporting sex offenders. While the terms of the settlement were not disclosed, Drake’s legal team stated that a mutually agreeable resolution had been reached.

This settlement represents a partial resolution in Drake’s legal battles. While the dispute with iHeartMedia has been settled, the lawsuit against UMG is ongoing. Drake stands by his allegations that the label has been involved in questionable business practices by endorsing and benefiting from defamatory content.

According to court filings, he contends that UMG knowingly supported false allegations against him for commercial gain. A hearing on UMG’s motion to dismiss is scheduled in San Antonio later this month.

The feud surrounding “Not Like Us” has only heightened tensions between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, whose rivalry has captivated fans and critics alike.

While the diss track achieved critical and commercial success, it also sparked significant controversy. For now, Drake remains focused on holding UMG accountable while navigating one of hip-hop’s most high-profile disputes.
