Kelly Ripa Fires Back At Mark Consuelos After He Tells Her She Looks Like Her Dad: “Well, You Look Like Your Mom”

The holidays are a time for family — and family resemblances, apparently.

On Friday’s festive Live with Kelly and Mark — in which The two co-hosts celebrated Christmas in style with several different holiday sweaters to celebrate the show’s Holiday Sweater Party — Kelly Ripa shared a message to parents with young children, instructing them to “have a Christmas Eve plan” to insure that they can properly wrangle their excited kids in for bedtime.

“Get outside that day, if possible, and let your kids exercise. Tire them out. Do you know how you take your dog to the dog park, run them around, get it out of their system?” she quipped. “Get it out of their system. Let them run around.”

Mark Consuelos suggested, “Go sledding. Make them walk up the hill. Keep going.”

After she recommended “hav[ing] set bedtimes” and “avoid[ing] too many sugary foods that night before bed,” she said to “offer a Christmas Eve present” on Christmas Eve, which she noted Consuelos’ family did growing up.

“It’s a great idea. You let them know that they can offer one present on Christmas Eve ifif… they follow the rules,” Ripa highlighted. “Got to be some rules in this house.”

As Ripa attempted to continue, Consuelos chimed in, “You look like your dad just now.”

“You did something,” he explained. “‘Follow the rules,’ and you kind of jutted out your jaw, and you’re like this.”

After Consuelos tried to mimic her expression, Ripa responded with an uncertain “ok” before teasing, “Well, you look like your mom.”
