Akron's Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens opens for season on April 1: How to get a free tour ticket

Anyone who buys a ticket for a self-guided tour in April will have the opportunity to receive a second tour ticket for free with a food donation.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, a historic site in Akron, Ohio, is gearing up to open for the 2025 season. In an effort to support the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, they are running a promotion where visitors can receive a free self-guided tour ticket by participating in a food drive.

The opening date for Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is set for April 1st. During the entire month of April, individuals purchasing a ticket for a self-guided tour will have the chance to get a second ticket at no cost by bringing along a non-perishable food item for donation.

Jennie Highfield, the President and Executive Director, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming season and the initiative to give back to the community. She highlighted the beauty of spring at the estate and the excitement of welcoming visitors to explore the Manor House and gardens while also supporting a charitable cause.
