ELON Musk launched a shock personal attack on Sir Keir Starmer yesterday as his war of words with the Labour leader intensified.
The world’s richest man accused the PM of failing to prosecute grooming gangs during his spell as chief prosecutor.
It comes as survivors of sex abuse spoke out in favour of a full national inquiry into grooming gangs.
In his escalating dispute with Sir Keir, Musk wrote on X: “Starmer was complicit in the RAPE OF BRITAIN when head of Crown Prosecution for six years.
“Starmer must go and he must face charges for his complicity in the worst mass crime in the history of Britain.”
His post had been viewed more than 12million times last night. No 10 was not commenting, but ministers were sent out to defend Sir Keir.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting said: “Some of the criticisms Elon Musk has made I think are misjudged and certainly misinformed.”
He added: “If he wants to work with us and roll his sleeves up, we’d welcome that.”
Fellow minister Andrew Gwynne added: “Elon Musk is an American citizen and perhaps ought to focus on issues on the other side of the Atlantic.”
Two individuals who were victims of the Rotherham child abuse ring have joined Tory leader Kemi Badenoch in urging for a comprehensive investigation into the matter. This comes even after the Conservatives declined to conduct one in 2022.
Sarah Wilson said on X: “Anyone with a brain and a bit of common sense wouldn’t even think twice about having an investigation.”
And Sammy Woodhouse told LBC: “What’s not happening is action. I don’t think people will take this seriously until this happens.”
