A woman is facing accusations of spitting in the face of a US Attorney nominee during a live TV interview. According to prosecutors, she openly talked about the incident on social media in a boastful manner.
The woman in question, named Emily Gabriella Sommer, has been taken into custody following an investigation that traced her provocative posts directed at Ed Martin, a former key legal figure in Donald Trump’s administration.

Authorities identified the suspect based on online activity where a user under the alias “lefttits” claimed responsibility for the act of spitting and reiterated this in various comments on Martin’s online posts.
In the comments, the user bragged, “Hi, hello. A pleasure to hawk a dehydrated, pithy white foam spit into your face.
“I only apologize that this city left me so dehydrated and unable to get water that I couldn’t produce more to stain and drip down your face.”
The user then ended each reply with a smiling poop emoji.
Detectives started their hunt after a woman was caught on camera spitting on Martin’s face on May 8 as he chatted with Newsmax in an on-camera interview outside a Washington DC courthouse.
The shocking video captured her shouting “Who in the f**k are you?” after noticing Martin and rushing over with her dog in tow on a leash to confront him.
After the horrific act, she quickly walked away and yelled, “You are a disgusting man. F**k you, Ed Martin.”
According to prosecutors, she then proudly shouted, “My name is Emily Gabriella Sommer, and you are served.”
Detectives analyzed a selfie on the trolling X account along with the footage and compared it to a previous booking photo they had on file.
The investigators then noticed “consistencies in the jawline, hairline, eyebrows, and nose” and confirmed that the attacker was Sommer, prosecutors said in court docs.
Officials knocked on Sommers’ door and showed her a surveillance image of the attacker walking away from the scene, prosecutors said.
After speaking with her, they said they were able to finally link her to the incident.
Sommer was taken into custody on Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday afternoon.
The Department of Justice has charged her with one count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding a government official.

TRUMP’S TOP PICK
Martin was the acting US Attorney when he was attacked, but he wasn’t able to clinch enough votes to get confirmed.
Now, Trump has nominated Fox News star Judge Jeanine Pirro to hold the position, and she’s already moved to Washington DC to crack down on crime.
Just last night, Pirro joined US Attorney General Pam Bondi outside the Capital Jewish Museum where two Israeli Embassy staffers were shot to death.
A suspected shooter has been arrested, and he was filmed screaming out “Free Palestine” as cops took him away.
Trump praised Pirro for her work as a district attorney in Westchester County, New York, and described her as a “powerful crusader for victims of crime.”
After the president announced her nomination, Pirror said in a statement, “If you are a criminal, run for the hills.”
