Family ‘distraught’ as missing grandad last seen getting bus to Huddersfield

An 81-year-old Manchester grandad who has been missing since last week was last seen getting on a bus to Huddersfield.

Ronald was reported missing to Greater Manchester Police on Thursday, September 14. In their initial appeal, Greater Manchester Police said he was last seen on Walkers Road in Oldham at around 1.05pm.

Greater Manchester Police described him as a white man, with grey hair who uses a walking stick. They say he was wearing a black and blue coat with grey trousers.

In an updated appeal yesterday, the police issued some more information saying he was last seen at 2.15pm on the 184 bus heading towards Huddersfield. They also shared a new CCTV image of Ronald.

The police said: “A new image of Ronald has been provided via CCTV.

“He was last seen at 14:15pm on Thursday 14 September on the 184 bus going toward #Huddersfield.”
