A man armed with an axe fatally attacked an individual during a violent outburst at a university in Poland.
Another person was severely injured and had to be rushed to the hospital after the terrifying incident at Warsaw University.



Authorities confirmed the apprehension of a 22-year-old Polish suspect in connection with the attack.
He reportedly walked onto the campus brandishing the axe at around 16:40 UK time.
Private broadcaster Polsat News reported that a severed head had been recovered alongside the axe.
A spokesperson said that the person who died was a female administrator who worked at the university.
They refused to comment on the reports of a severed head.
He added that a security guard was injured and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The attacker entered through the university’s lecture theatre, he said.
Warsaw Police said: “Police have detained a man who entered the University of Warsaw campus.
“One person died, another was taken to hospital with injuries,” in a post on X.
