Cleveland police say the 25-year-old man was involved in an altercation involving two other people at 230 Euclid Ave.
In Cleveland, a man was killed in a shooting incident close to Public Square following a confrontation with two other individuals, as reported by the local police to 3News.
According to a police spokesperson, officers, EMS and fire personnel responded to 230 Euclid Ave. at around 2 a.m. The 25-year-old man, who has not been identified, was immediately found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old man were arrested but have not been charged as of 1 p.m. Police said an investigation is ongoing to determine whether charges will be filed.
A preliminary police investigation indicated that two people were in the area when the 25-year-old arrived and “became involved in a physical confrontation with one of the individuals there.”
According to police, the 25-year-old man pulled a firearm during the altercation and “shots were fired.” Police say the other one of the pair tried to intervene in the fight, “and also appeared to fire his weapon.”
Police said information on the shooting is “subject to change as the investigation continues.”
