Teacher who raped student, 12, and got PREGNANT sentenced to 25 years – and she could have 21 VICTIMS

A TENNESSEE teacher who raped a 12-year-old student and became pregnant has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Alissa McCommon, previously a teacher at Charger Academy, faced allegations of abusing her position of trust and authority by engaging in inappropriate relationships with underage individuals under her supervision, establishing connections with children within and beyond the educational setting.

Her sentencing comes amid chilling allegations that she may have as many as 21 victims.

Following her admission of guilt, the ex-fourth-grade teacher was convicted on several counts, such as child rape, statutory rape, solicitation of minors, and sexual exploitation of minors.

As part of the legal repercussions, Circuit Court Judge Blake Neill sentenced McCommon to 25 years of incarceration with no chance of parole and mandated her to enroll as a Violent Sex Offender.

Authorities said McCommon gained access to her victims by forming personal bonds, engaging with them on social media, and even befriending their mothers.

One of her victims, a 12-year-old boy, allegedly received over 200 calls from McCommon, along with explicit photos sent via Snapchat.

She allegedly threatened self-harm if he attempted to end their illegal relationship, investigators claimed.

The case took a shocking turn when McCommon claimed she was pregnant with the boy’s child.

DNA testing confirmed her allegations, but a judge later ruled she would have no contact with the infant.

The child is now in the custody of the victim’s family.

During the sentencing hearing, the mother of the 12-year-old victim condemned McCommon’s actions in a powerful statement.

She said: “The innocent child will be loved and raised without your influence.

“There’s no amount of time they can give you that will equal what God will give you. You will burn in hell.”

McCommon’s predatory behavior dates back years, with the investigation initially launched in 2021 after a former student reported inappropriate contact, the New York Post reports.

The case gained momentum in 2023 when a parent alerted authorities about disturbing text messages McCommon sent to her son.

McCommon was arrested in September 2023 on a 23-count indictment, which included charges related to multiple students.

She was briefly released on bond but was rearrested after violating her release conditions by contacting one of her victims.

District Attorney Mark Davidson praised the resolution of the case and the justice served for McCommon’s victims.

He said in a statement: “These convictions and sentences demonstrate the continuing commitment of law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office to aggressively investigate and prosecute child rape and sexual abuse cases in this District, especially where there are minor child victims.”

McCommon’s teaching license has been permanently revoked, and she will no longer have any professional authority over minors.
