‘It’s been such an exciting time for him and this Christmas is going to be very memorable for him. George is in a great place and is enjoying being a hands on dad.’

In snaps seen by the publication, George can be seen holding his baby in a carrier as he pops to the shops to pick up nappies and Brewdog beer.

George’s happy news comes following a tough year in 2023 after he was diagnosed with acute vertigo – forcing him to cancel some of his sold-out Gold Rush Kid tour gigs.

He pulled out of his show at London’s O2 arena last March after his diagnosis before cancelling a second show in Leeds.

George’s team said at the time that ‘although his symptoms are improving he is still experiencing acute vertigo’ and after discussions with his medical team he had to cancel his gig at Leeds’ First Direct Arena.

‘Upon a further consultation with a doctor this morning, his show at the First Direct Arena in Leeds tonight will not be able to go ahead as planned,’ read the statement.

It added that both the London and Leeds gigs have been rescheduled with the Leeds concert now taking place on April 5 and the London O2 Arena gig on April 6.

‘Again, we would like to apologise greatly for the postponement of both the London and Leeds dates, and for everyone who had travelled in advance to the shows. All tickets will remain valid for the new dates and we really hope you can make it

‘Thank you for all your support and well wishes to George,’ the statement concluded.

Prior to the Leeds cancellation, George cancelled a sold-out London show with just hours to go.

It was revealed he had been diagnosed with acute vertigo after feeling ‘incredibly unwell’.

The post read in full: ‘Hi everyone, unfortunately George has started feeling incredibly unwell this afternoon.

‘He’s been diagnosed by a doctor as having acute vertigo and as a result we sincerely regret to announce that tonight’s show at the O2 in London will not be able to go ahead as planned. We wanted to let you know as soon as possible.

Earlier this year, George’s name made headlines after Rod Stewart sparked a bizarre feud with Ed Sheeran.

The British rocker suggested that Ed’s music would not stand the test of time in comparison to his own or that of fellow singer George.

Speaking to The Times, Rod was asked whether he believed that timeless songs were still being made today.

The singer referenced his own 1971 track, saying: ‘I’m sure they are. You mean like Maggie May? Songs that will be played in 50 years?’

He then described a British male artist he liked, but forgot his name, saying: ‘I like whatshisname. Oh f***ing great, Rod. Well done. He’s British, really talented and his songs will be around. Erm…’

When asked if he meant Ed, Rod immediately fumed: ‘No, not Ed, I don’t know any of his songs, old ginger b*****ks. Jesus…’

He then began singing: ‘I’ll be riding shotgun’ leading to the interviewer correctly guessing he was referring to George.

Rod gushed: ‘Yes! I think he writes really tremendous songs. He’ll be around for quite a while.’
