Maryland Mother Accused and Charged with Strangling 11-Year-Old Daughter With Plastic Drain Cleaner

A woman in Maryland has been charged with the murder of her 11-year-old daughter, whom she allegedly strangled using a plastic drain cleaner.

The Baltimore County Police received a call from Kenyona Dillon, 34, who informed a neighbor that her daughter, London Olsen, was found dead in the basement. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the girl with apparent injuries, including bruises on her body and blood around her mouth, according to The Baltimore Banner.

The plastic drain cleaner was located on the floor adjacent to her body, and the marks on the girl’s neck were consistent with the object.

Dillon exhibited uncooperative behavior, declining to answer inquiries or identify other children present in the residence.

Following the incident, Dillon was taken to the Baltimore County Police Department Headquarters for questioning. Reports mentioned that during the interrogation, she exhibited erratic behavior and made references to child sex trafficking, transgender individuals, and the Proud Boys.

Although the other children in the household were unharmed, a 5-year-old girl told investigators that Dillon had physically attacked the family pets – two cats, a rabbit, and a dog – using a hammer and her knee the night before. The child also disclosed that her mother disposed of the animals’ bodies in the kitchen trash, where law enforcement later found them.

The young girl also recounted witnessing Dillon choke her sister and requested that detectives keep her disclosure secret from her mother, fearing her anger.

In a subsequent interview, Dillon claimed that she believed London had engaged in sexual relations with the father of her other three children and that she killed the animals “to demonstrate to Victim Olsen what would occur if she did not tell the truth,” according to court documents.

Dillon denied the allegations of choking her daughter, asserting that the 5-year-old had misinterpreted her actions as she attempted to perform CPR on London.

Detectives noted in court documents that there was no evidence to support claims of sexual abuse or any sexual relationship between the deceased girl and the father of the other children.

Dillon is currently being held without bail, facing charges of first-degree murder.

Dillon insisted on her right to self-representation during a bail review held on Friday, as reported by WBAL.

“I will represent myself. You have infringed upon my rights,” she asserted in court. “I am a sovereign indigenous person of this land. You obtained my DNA without my consent, which constitutes a violation of my rights.”

She expressed her refusal to accept a public defender. The hearing concluded with the judge mandating a mental health evaluation.

Family members informed the station that Dillon had made concerning statements in the days leading up to the hearing, prompting them to reach out to Child Protective Services. They indicated that a welfare check was believed to have been requested.
