A 90s heartthrob channeled James Bond on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards Friday night.
The TV star, now 50, played a beloved character on a popular TV show set in a high school.
The Los Angeles native looked debonair in in a tuxedo featuring a white jacket and black bowtie.
Known for his roles in popular films like 12 Dates Of Christmas, Dead Man On Campus, and Precious Cargo, this attractive actor has established a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Have you figured out who is it yet?
He rose to fame alongside Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies, Dennis Haskins, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, and Mario Lopez.Â
It’s Mark-Paul Gosselaar, best known for his role of Zack Morris in Saved By the Bell.
Gosselaar captured hearts when Saved By the Bell debuted in August 1989 as he became the handsome bad boy everyone adored.
Mark-Paul has ditched his golden locks, which were inspired by Vanilla Ice’s frosty tips, and embraced his naturally thick dark brown hair.
He admitted he dyed his hair to play Zack Morris back in 2015.
When asked about his hair color during an interview with Jimmy Fallon, the star revealed the truth behind his blonde locks, stating, ‘People assume it’s my natural hair color, but it was actually dyed using Clairol.’
‘That is not natural, guys, you can see the brown going through’, he added.
NBC’s Saved By The Bell became a fan favorite when it first aired in the US in 1989.
After airing every Saturday morning, the sitcom soon became a channel flagship and had several spin-off shows during the 90s.
Despite being an actor for more than 40 years, Gosselaar still feels he has more to experience.
‘I still feel like I have so much left to learn. Every time I walk on a set, I learn something,’ he told Newsweek.
Mark-Paul is currently starring in NBC’s Found, which just had its season two premiere.Â
Gosselaar plays Sir, a man held captive by Gabi (played by Shanola Hampton), the adult woman his character kidnapped as a child.Â
The description of the show highlights a concerning statistic, stating that in the United States, over 600,000 individuals are reported missing each year, with a significant portion of them being people of color who often go unnoticed by society.
‘Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely – who was once herself one of those forgotten ones – and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people.Â
‘But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.’
Mark-Paul credits his longevity in Hollywood to the fact that he doesn’t do many Hollywood things.
‘I think one of the reasons why I’ve had longevity in this industry is that I do my work and not much else in the industry. I live outside of Los Angeles.Â
‘I consider myself a husband first and a family man and then, oh yeah, I do this thing called acting. And I really enjoy what I do for a living, it’s just never been my identity.’
He added that even when he was a child actor, he played roles that were an escape for him.Â
‘I’m always looking for something to challenge me. I’m always looking for something that when I read it, I become a bit anxious about playing that role. If it’s something that I read and I go, “I’ve done that before,” I don’t find that as interesting.’
But one thing Gosselaar feels about his career is gratitude.Â
‘I feel extremely honored that I’ve been able to do the things that I’ve done,’ he said.Â
