A SICK gunman shot two kindergarteners in a targeted attack because of their rural California school’s religion, police said.
Cops believe the deranged shooter met with the principal before the shooting as a “ruse” to get closer to the little students.
The gunman, whose identity hasn’t been released, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he opened fire, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office said.
Wednesday afternoon, the gunman went to Feather River Adventist School in Oroville, just an hour north of Sacramento, to talk to the principal about school registration.
Feather River is a Seventh-day Adventist school, which is a Protestant Christian denomination.
The meeting seemed to be standard, but not long after it ended, the principal heard gunshots erupt from outside his office.
