AT least five people including two security guards have reportedly been killed in a shooting at a French migrant camp near Dunkirk.
The horror shooting took place in Loon-Plage before a person claiming to be the gunman turned himself in, French media reports.
An investigating source stated that special forces police were dispatched to the camp on Saturday afternoon following reports of “a lone gunman fatally shooting individuals”.
They added: “Four people were shot dead around the camp at Mardyck – two security guards and two migrants.
“The gunman is also said to have shot a transport manager earlier in the afternoon.”
A source told Sky News that cops confirmed “multiple murders were committed”.
The migrants are said to be of Kurdish origin and died of gunshot wounds.
Soon afterwards, the gunman killed two security guards who were guarding corporate premises nearby.
The gunman was described as being aged 22, and “unknown to the authorities before today”, according to the source.
His first victim was said to be in his 30s, and was “killed in front of his relatives, in what looked like a targeted assassination”.
The unnamed gunman turned himself in to gendarmes (French cops) at Ghyvelde and is now in custody.
It is understood he now faces murder charges.
