Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, a hairstylist, and her police officer boyfriend broke up after dating for nearly a year.
The relationship had been contentious, with both filing protective orders. Diiorio began dating again and turned to Tinder.
During a conversation, Diiorio expressed a desire for her ex to be killed and asked if her companion could help, mentioning that her ex was a police officer in Philadelphia.
The person Diiorio was speaking with on Tinder turned out to be a police informant and promptly notified the authorities. Detectives then informed the Philadelphia police as well as the intended victim. Subsequently, officers spoke with the officer, who recalled meeting Diiorio when she was cutting his hair.
Diiorio was taken into custody in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, following a report from her Tinder match stating that she had offered him $12,000 to carry out the plan to kill her ex and his teenage daughter.
