In horror CCTV footage, an oblivious Roman could be seen strolling along the coastline as small waves crash in by her feet.

A number of beachgoers were standing around taking in the views when a huge lightning strike flashed down from the sky.

The white electric current directly hits the bikini-clad holidaymaker and she drops instantly to the ground.

Another beach-goer nearby was also shocked but appeared to have escaped the full force of the strike.

One bystander could be heard saying: “She is dead. The lightning bolt killed her instantly. They can’t touch her.”

Astonishingly Roman survived the bolt but it induced a massive cardiac arrest and she died 45 minutes later as paramedics rushed her to hospital.

A spokesperson for the city’s Mayor’s Office said: “They tried to revive her for 45 minutes. After that, they declared her deceased.”

City officials called for tourists to respect the safety rules issued by beach lifeguards.

It comes after an Olympic canoeing hopeful passed away earlier this month after being struck by lightning.

Bogdan Saliwon, 16, was training at a lake in Ukraine when the bolt hit him.

After a huge search, his body was found in the lake and police believe he died as a result of drowning.

Two people were also killed by a lightning strike on a Mexican beach last month.

The tragedy happened on a beautiful Central Pacific Coast beach called Playa Maruata in the Mexican state of Michoacan.

Chilling footage of the drama showed the victims collapsing on the sand and a woman near them screaming.

And in 2019, a hillwalker was killed and six others were blown off their feet in a horror lightning strike on a remote mountain in Scotland.
