Andrew Tate’s net worth

Andrew Tate has previously boasted about being a “trillionaire”.

This would have would have meant he was the richest person on the planet.

In June 2023, The Sun published a report stating that Romanian authorities estimated his net worth to be approximately £10 million. Since then, there have been no new reliable updates regarding his financial status.

Law enforcement detailed the opulent possessions of the disgraced influencer when disclosing that both him and his brother Tristan were facing charges in connection to a sex trafficking probe.

In January 2023, prosecutors said they had seized 15 luxury vehicles and more than 10 properties and homes belonging to the suspects to prevent the assets from being sold or hidden.

Fourteen watches, two ingots and cash were also confiscated, with authorities saying at the time the seized property was worth €3.6million (£3.12million).

It was reported the money could be used as compensation for Tate’s victims if the allegations against him were ever proven.

How Andrew Tate made his money

Tate was born in the US but came to live in Britain at just four years old.

He started his career as a kickboxer in Luton and won multiple world titles.

According to his website, he has worked as a commentator for Real Xtreme Fighting, the largest MMA promotion in Romania.

Previously, it was presumed that Tate had made most of his wealth from his main business venture, Hustler’s University.

He also claims to have made more money investing in cryptocurrency and opening a chain of casinos with his brother Tristan.

Prior to being charged in June 2023, the disgraced influencer would often share pictures of flash cars, expensive properties, cigars and private jets on his Instagram.

But this appears to have all been crafted to appeal to his impressionable followers and promote his brand.

Tate’s lawyers have even claimed he plays a “character” online for the purposes of entertainment.

Past social media pictures showed off Andrew and his brother’s car collection, which included a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin, a Ferrari and a Rolls Royce.

In a podcast interview just before his arrest, Tate denied owning any of his cars, saying: “I don’t own anything. There are cars [that I may have access to].”

Andrew Tate’s main streams of income

It is believed that Tate’s main source of income was the webcam business he ran from his compound in Romania.

He also runs subscription service Hustler’s University, which is said to teach customers how to make money, as well as “The War Room” — a private members club where joining fees are paid in cryptocurrency.

The BBC released its investigation into The War Room network in September 2023.

The publication reported that an associate of Tate’s called Miles Sonkin had allegedly been using the site to encourage members to groom young women into becoming sex workers.

Why Andrew Tate was in prison

On December 29, 2022, he was arrested in Romania along with Tristan on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

The following day, a Romanian court ruled that Andrew would remain in custody for 30 days.

That was extended for another 30 days – until the end of February – and another 30 after that.

Tate’s appeal against a judge’s decision to keep him locked up until March 29 was rejected.

However, he was released from Jail and placed under house arrest on March 31, 2023.

Tate won an appeal to be released from house arrest in Romania in August 2023.

On November 20, 2023, he said: “I have been constrained this entire year.”

Tate went on: “I spent 93 days in a Romanian dungeon, five months locked in my house, and now I am restrained within the country of Romania, so it has certainly been a turbulent time”.

He was rearrested a year later in August 2024, which led to him again being placed under house arrest.

Tate remained under house arrest until January 2025, when restrictions against him were relaxed and he reportedly fled Romania with his brother Tristan.

Where Andrew Tate is now

On February 26, 2025, Andrew and Tristan Tate reportedly departed from  the Baneasa airport, Bucharest, on a private jet at around 5am local time (3am GMT), heading in the direction of the US.

They were travelling to Florida, sources close to the siblings told The Sun.

The news comes following the Trump administration lobbying the Romanian government to ease travel constraints on the brothers despite investigations continuing, as reported by the Financial Times.

It was understood that the Tates, who have dual UK-US nationality, had been banned from leaving Romania — but this appears to have been lifted.

A picture circulated on social media and in Romanian news shows Tristan waving while boarding a jet, but it remains unclear if the picture is new.
