Fearless fundraisers are being sought to take on a charity abseil to raise money for the NSPCC.
The 2023 Yorkshire Abseil – The Ultimate Challenge will take place at Ilkley’s Cow and Calf rocks on Sunday, September 24. There’s still some places remaining if anyone wants to take part.
Those looking to take on the challenge are asked to raise £150, or more, in sponsorship. The funds raised at the event will support the children’s charity NSPCC and its work to help young people and families across the region.

Alice Feek, NSPCC community fundraising manager for Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “Earlier this year we held a fantastic fundraiser at a climbing centre in Leeds, so we thought it would be great if this month’s challenge saw fundraisers abseiling down a historic landmark instead.
“No training is needed, and you’ll be fully supported on the day. It costs £30 to take part, and discounts are available for groups of daredevils who want to encourage each other as they abseil down the beautiful Cow and Calf. We’d love to have as many people take part as possible, and every pound raised will go towards helping children and young people across the region.”
