Westminster police chase man wanted for felony warrants Wednesday night, ending with crash at I-70 and I-225

In Westminster, Colorado, the local police department engaged in a pursuit of a man on Wednesday night who was wanted for multiple felony warrants. The chase came to an end when the suspect crashed near the junction of Interstate 70 and Interstate 225.

Two people were taken to the hospital but are expected to recover, according to Westminster police.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the Comfort Suites located near 120th Ave. and Delaware Street. The individual causing the disturbance had outstanding felony warrants against him.

According to the Westminster police, as officers approached the suspect, he intentionally tried to hit them with his vehicle, striking one of the police cars before fleeing the scene.

The officers followed the car the suspect was driving into Denver when he crashed into another car near I-70 and I-225. Both the person in that car and the suspect were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, Westminster PD said.
