Celebrity Big Brother kicked off on ITV on Monday night as 13 new housemates burst onto our screens.
Chesney Hawkes and JoJo Siwa were the first to head through the doors after being welcomed by hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu.
Singer Chesney, who is 53 years old, received his first task at the beginning of the episode from Big Brother. He was instructed to introduce himself as ‘The One and Only Chesney Hawkes’ to the next four housemates.
He is playing for points in ‘Big Brother’s super secret very hush hush gameshow’ to win prizes for the first few days in the Big Brother house.Â
He stripped down in his intro video as he admitted he was a ‘bit of a nudist’ – and later joked he’d ‘peaked to early’ with the risky move.
Upon entering the house, Chesney expressed his thoughts on the upcoming experience. He mentioned, ‘I’m 53 and I’ve spent 53 years with myself, so I think I know myself pretty well. But I reckon I’m going to learn stuff about myself.’

Reflecting on the opportunity, he added, ‘If you can reach your mid-50s and there’s still potential to discover new things, then that’s really exciting. I believe I’ll also gain insights into other celebrities that I wasn’t aware of – so that’s interesting.’
‘Oh and Tuesday night is the night we put the bins out so I’m looking forward to not doing that!’
Singer and dancer Jojo, 21, was next to enter and put on an animated display as she chatted to Chesney.
She said as she entered: ‘I’d say my strengths are making people laugh and smile and have a good time – that’s my forte. I think I’ll be easy to get along with – I’m a fairly easy person to get along with. I’m an easy person to converse with – even if somebody’s the complete opposite to me.Â
‘At the end of the day, we’re all human. And I think if you’re a human that’s open to conversation that’s a great thing. And if you’re human that’s not open to conversation that’s all good – I’ll go converse with somebody nicer.’
Trisha Goddard was next to enter as she spoke about her ongoing terminal breast cancer battle in her VT – saying her chemo was now ‘part of her new normal’.
The ITV darling, who hosted the popular daytime chat show Trisha from 1998 to 2004, announced in February last year that the cancer she was diagnosed with in 2008 and eventually beat, had sadly returned.
Love Island’s Chris Hughes was next to enter as he said he backed himself to get to the final.Â

He said as he entered the house: ‘I’m looking forward to the fact that it’s very much an unknown, to meeting new people, getting to spend time with people who are from very different environments to myself and the whole social experiment behind it – the whole Big Brother experience, really.’
EastEnders star Patsy Palmer was the fifth star to enter the house at which point Big Brother revealed they had won 400 points in the gameshow after Chesney successfully introduced himself how he had been challenged to.
The sixth star to enter was Michael Fabricant as he spoke about his sexuality in his VT – clarifying that he was bisexual and not gay as many presume.Â
He did receive some boos from the audience as he entered but gave a shout out to the LGBTQ community as he spoke to hosts Will and AJ.Â
Michael was given the next challenge in the gameshow as Big Brother told him he had to give as many new people high fives as possible while saying ‘Groovy baby’ to them.Â

Corrie star Jack P Shepherd was next to enter the house – followed swiftly by TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise.
Asked what he was going to miss most while in the house Jack said: ‘I don’t know because I feel like you still get everything like chocolate and sweets and things like that.Â
‘But probably the little dog, the little dog baby – which is a long-haired Chihuahua.’
Ella sensationally revealed to The Sun just before entering the house that she was no longer with her on-screen boyfriend Dan Edgar anymore.Â
