Will There Be a ‘No Good Deed’ Season 2 on Netflix? The Cast Responds

Netflix‘s latest dark comedy No Good Deed kicks off as a quirky comedy focused on the competitive realm of Los Angeles real estate. It follows several couples engaged in a covert battle to secure the purchase of a stunning 1920s Spanish-style home for millions of dollars. Little do they realize, they are under clandestine surveillance by the house’s owners, Lydia (played by Lisa Kudrow) and Paul (portrayed by Ray Romano). Adding to the intrigue, the plot thickens as the Netflix series progresses, revealing that Lydia, Paul, and their flawless home are all intricately connected to a perplexing murder case.

**Spoilers for No Good Deed, now streaming on Netflix**

No Good Deed eventually reveals that Lydia’s reluctance to sell their house is in fact tied to the fact that her beloved son Jacob (Wyatt Aubrey) was murdered there. Lydia and Paul have been wrestling with the knowledge that Jacob was mistaken for an intruder and shot by a family member for years, plunging them into a conspiracy to cover up what really happened.

Ironically, the case is cracked by Leslie (Abbi Jacobson), a lawyer desperate to buy their house to start a family with wife Sarah (Poppy Liu). Leslie realizes that there was another shooter the family didn’t know about. The true kill was one other than their scheming neighbor, Margot (Linda Cardellini), who was covering up an affair with the teenager.

Lydia and Paul’s story might be neatly wrapped up by the end of No Good Deed, which sees the two grieving parents finding closure, but there still several loose ends that need tying up. Namely, the fact that Dennis (O-T Fagbenle) is lying to wife Carla (Teyonah Parris) about taking her billionaire father’s money…and the fact that Carla’s estranged dad insists on meeting his grandchild.

Does this mean that there will be a No Good Deed Season 2 on Netflix? Here’s what we know so far…

Netflix has not yet announced they are making a No Good Deed Season 2, but series creator and showrunner Liz Feldman told Decider she’s got a plan for how to move the story forward.

“I will just say that I have a really fun idea about how to execute a Season 2 and an idea that would certainly have a lot of twists and turns and new stories to tell,” Feldman said. “I hope that I’ll get the chance to do it, but I got to talk to Netflix first.”

At least two of the stars of No Good Deed told Decider they are “absolutely” down to continue their characters’ story — as long as they’re back together.

“If I get to work with Teyonah again, I’m in. So that’s the beginning, middle and end of that,” O-T Fagbenle said. “But I think there’s a lot more story to do uncover if they want to uncover it. So I’d be excited about it.”

“There is so much more story to mine, so many more secrets to uncover,” Teyonah Parris said. “They need therapy. They need a lot of things to happen so that they can move forward. And I think—

“Maybe my mom could be the therapist,” Fagbenle suggested, referring to Dennis’s overbearing mother Denise (Anna Marie Horsfield).

“That’s a very Dennis comment,” Parris said, with an exasperated smile. “Absolutely not.”

No Good Deed was originally announced in 2022 and went into production in early 2024. So assuming that Liz Feldman is already working on scripts, the show could return by late 2025 or early 2026. That’s if the show goes into production within the next few months, of course.
