A woman from North Carolina has been accused of murder following the tragic death of a 7-year-old boy who was hit by a stray bullet while he was playing video games and enjoying cheese fries at home.

The suspect, Sierra Chambers, aged 19, initially faced charges of being an accessory after the fact but has now had the charges elevated to murder in connection to the death of Zion Gibbs. The decision to upgrade the charges came after a thorough investigation as reported by the local ABC affiliate WTVD.

Zion was killed on June 7 in the 800 block of Danish Drive, the Fayetteville Police Department said.
