Jamie Foxx ends relationship with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp following controversy over his offensive song about white women

Jamie Foxx has split from his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp after recently declaring that he is done dating white women.

A source close to the Oscar-winner, 57, told PEOPLE on Thursday that he and Huckstepp are no longer together after dating for a year and a half.

In 2023, they were first romantically linked after Foxx ended his six-year relationship with Katie Holmes, 46, the star of Dawson’s Creek, that had concluded in 2019.

Foxx and Huckstepp were last photographed together on October 30, 2024 during a romantic trip to Mexico.

A month prior, the couple looked very much in love as they were spotted grabbing dinner with friends at Nobu Malibu.

The significance of the restaurant lies in its role as the place where Foxx and Huckstepp publicly revealed their relationship in August 2023, despite nearly being destroyed by the LA fire.

The pair may have first crossed paths in August 2022 when Huckstepp attended the Los Angeles premiere of Foxx’s Netflix film Night Shift.

While they never made their official red carpet debut as a couple, Huckstepp has supported Foxx behind the scenes.

She is said to have joined Foxx on set of several of his projects, including a commercial shoot for BetMGM in July 2024.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the pair looked ‘cozy’ and that Huckstepp was present for at least one of the shoot days.

Huckstepp and Foxx went public with their romance just months after he suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain in April 2023.

An insider shared last year that the blonde beauty was a significant and positive presence in the actor’s life during his recovery from a health scare that had left him in a coma for 20 days.

But things changed in the couple’s relationship following their October 2024 Mexico trip as less than two months later Foxx announced that he’d been ‘cured’ of white women and that he is ‘back on the black side of town’.

He made the joke in his new Netflix special What Had Happened Was…, which was released on December 10, after dishing on his shock stroke and denying that disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had anything to do with his hospitalization.

Sitting down at a piano, Foxx sang: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured.

‘I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.’

As audience members applauded and leapt out their seats, Jamie continued: ‘I’m back on the Black side of town!

‘No more white girls. No more potato salad and raisins. No more white girls. No more spray tan, no more big t*tties no ass, no more white girls.’

Foxx has had several high-profile relationships over the years with both black and white women.

In 1993 he dated Connie Kline, and the pair went on to welcome daughter Connie one year later.

Between 1996 and 2001, Foxx was linked to Haitian actress Garcelle Beauvais, before going on to date actress Leila Arcieri in 2005.

In 2008, Foxx dated Kristin Grannis, the mother of his second daughter, Anelise.

While many viewers were in hysterics by Foxx’s admission, they couldn’t help but question his sincerity.

Taking to X, one wrote: ‘Interesting. It took a stroke???’

Another said: ‘Jamie funny as s**t because he lying like hell LMFAOOOOO.’

A third added: ‘I don’t believe him. But I’m going to mind my business.’

‘Jamie knows he lyin’,’ a fourth continued.

Elsewhere in his special, Foxx revealed that he lost 20 days’ worth of memory and was unable to walk amid his terrifying health battle.

During an emotional scene on his Netflix special, he recalled: ‘On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin.

‘I realized quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the f*** to do.’

Foxx then confessed: ‘I don’t remember 20 days.’

Becoming emotional, Jamie broke down in tears told audience that he was ‘back,’ adding: ‘You don’t know how good this feels.’

He also credited his 16-year-old daughter Anelise for saving his life by playing the guitar at his bedside, branding her his ‘spiritual defibrillator.’

Foxx said that Anelise, who he shares with psychotherapist Kristin, snuck into my hospital room with her guitar.

He continued: ‘They said when she was playing, my vitals went down.

‘The nurses at the nurses station were baffled. Like, ‘Wow what did they give him?’

‘They rushed into the room and she said, ‘Ssh. I got him.’

‘Do you know what I found out? That God was in that guitar. That’s my spiritual defibrillator.’

During this heartfelt moment, Anelise came out onto the stage with her guitar.

‘Thank you much for stepping up when all was lost,’ the actor said.
