In Lorain, Ohio, a tragic incident occurred when a 30-year-old man was hit by a vehicle on West 21st Street close to the Route 611 junction, leading to his unfortunate death, as reported by the Lorain police.
The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16. EMS pronounced the pedestrian, identified as Kevin Suarez-Rodriguez, deceased at the scene.
According to Lorain police, initial reports indicate Suarez-Rodriguez was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2021 Chevy Silverado driven by a 21-year-old.Â
The Lorain Police Traffic Bureau responded to the scene due to the severity of the crash. Authorities noted that rain was reported at the time of the crash.
According to Lorain police, investigators have determined that speed and alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the incident.
