John Cusack, born on June 28, 1966, has built a career in Hollywood as one of the A-list actors. After his acting debut in the 1983 film “Class,” more opportunities for Cusack to showcase his talents came.

With over 85 big screen credits to his name, Cusack is remembered for starring in “The Sure Thing” and “Sixteen Candles,” among many others.

While his career has been a whirlwind of success, Cusack’s love life has not progressed to marriage. Cusack is still a single man and has never been married, which to him is no problem at all.

John Cusack Is a Well-Known Bachelor

Although the romantic aspect of his life has remained private, Cusack did not refuse to address his being a bachelor. In a 2009 interview, the actor was asked to reveal the reason behind his single status in five words. He cleverly replied:

“I can do it in seven. Society doesn’t tell me what to do.”

Cusack is famously known as a Hollywood bachelor, but that does not mean he hasn’t been in relationships. Previously, he made headlines for being romantically involved with some Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Uma Thurman, and Brooke Burns.

John Cusack Dated Uma Thurman

Cusack dated the “Kill Bill” actress in 1992 and reconnected over a decade later in 2003. At that time, Cusack was reportedly a source of comfort when Thurman separated from her then-husband, Ethan Hawke.

Thurman is recognized for her role in “Pulp Fiction,” a cult classic film that Cusack was supposed to be in. However, his role was given to a different actor.

John Says He Hasn’t Been Hot

Cusack’s career has spanned over three decades, and within that timeframe, he has felt what it’s like both to be hot in the industry and to be irrelevant. “I haven’t really been hot for a long time,” he admitted in 2020.

However, his presence in Hollywood has always been felt through his versatile roles in film and television. In 2013, Cusack was cast as Richard Nixon in “The Butler” and a serial killer in “The Frozen Ground.”

Cusack’s career was at its best in the ’80s when he received breakout roles. Although fame fluctuated, his appearance in Woody Allen’s “Bullets Over Broadway” made him a star again. By the late ’90s, Cusack starred in the comedy “Grosse Pointe Blank” and the action film “Con Air.”

His talents later extended behind the cameras as he co-produced and co-wrote “High Fidelity,” a film adaptation in which he also starred. In 2010, he also produced and starred in “Hot Tub Time Machine.”

Unfortunately, his career hit a slowdown after. “In the last few years, I haven’t been able to get projects financed,” he once revealed. “That could be a function of getting older, or it could be a function of being cold.”

Cusack has other colleagues who also furthered their careers in the entertainment industry, including his “Say Anything” co-star Lili Taylor. Following the film, Taylor starred in several horror movies, including “The Nun,” “The Conjuring,” and “The Haunting.”

Her career became a whirlwind of success, and she was even recognized with a Primetime Emmy nomination for her performance in “American Crime.” Her most recent on-screen appearances are in “Almost Human” and the Netflix film “Eli.”
