Menendez brothers discuss 'bullying and trauma' in prison in rare public remarks, new podcast interview

Erik Menendez, one of the Menendez brothers convicted of a double murder, recently discussed experiencing “bullying and trauma” during his almost thirty years in California’s prison system in a rare interview on the “2 Angry Men Podcast.”

Describing his past time in prison as difficult, Menendez shared with the podcast hosts, TMZ’s Harvey Levin and his attorney Mark Geragos, the challenges he faced. He mentioned enduring bullying and experiencing trauma in what he described as a hazardous setting.

Currently, both Menendez brothers, Erik and Joseph “Lyle” Menendez, are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole at California’s Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility. However, due to a new law in California, they might have the chance to have their sentences shortened during an upcoming hearing, potentially leading to their release.

While about two dozen relatives have forgiven them and are publicly supporting their release, their mother’s brother is vehemently opposed and previously told Fox News Digital through his attorneys that he believes the motive was greed.

After killing their parents, the brothers went on a $700,000 spending spree that included luxury cars, Rolex watches and even a restaurant.
