KAI Trump has taken viewers behind the scenes of her grandpa’s inauguration.
The 17-year-old golfer let fans in on the weekend of Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony in Washington DC with a brand new vlog.
Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, was captured in a relaxed setting getting ready for Trump’s rallies on Sunday and the family’s candlelit dinner on the eve of Inauguration Day.
She also shared clips from backstage at Trump’s rally at the Capitol One Arena, where she spoke onstage briefly on Sunday night.
“Thank you all for your support for the past decade,” she told a cheering crowd.
“And we’re looking forward to the next four years. And God bless America. Thank you!”
Kai’s fans praised her laidback nature in the comments of the YouTube video.
“I love how she is so down to earth and not rude and posh and like a show-off and is just not afraid of being herself,” one commenter wrote.
“She’s an ultra rich kid but so relatable and humble at the same time,” another added.
A third advised, “Never change Kai. Always stay humble and kind. You are refreshing and sweet.”
Other YouTube users shared their appreciation for the exclusive looks.
“The American people have never had a behind the scenes look at a Presidential inauguration like this before,” one wrote.
“Thank you for taking us with you.”
Another individual shared their astonishment, saying, “First actual behind the scenes of a presidential inauguration in USA history which is crazy to think,” and expressed gratitude for the video.
Observing the significance of the moment, someone remarked, “Congrats, Kai. You are officially now the first American in American history to be a grandchild of a US President posting a professionally made video on his inauguration to be watched by millions in a leading social media channel.”
The vlog featured down-to-earth clips of her complaining about the tops of asparagus as well as wrestling her friends on hotel beds.
Donald Trump confirms inauguration move
DONALD Trump posted on Truth Social on Friday to confirm that his inauguration will be moved inside.
“January 20th cannot come fast enough! Everybody, even those that initially opposed a Victory by President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Administration, just want it to happen. It is my obligation to protect the People of our Country but, before we even begin, we have to think of the Inauguration itself. The weather forecast for Washington, D.C., with the windchill factor, could take temperatures into severe record lows. There is an Arctic blast sweeping the Country. I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way. It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of Law Enforcement, First Responders, Police K9s and even horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th (In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly!).
“Therefore, I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather. The various Dignitaries and Guests will be brought into the Capitol. This will be a very beautiful experience for all, and especially for the large TV audience!
“We will open Capital One Arena on Monday for LIVE viewing of this Historic event, and to host the Presidential Parade. I will join the crowd at Capital One, after my Swearing In.
“All other events will remain the same, including the Victory Rally at Capital One Arena, on Sunday at 3 P.M. (Doors open at 1 P.M.—Please arrive early!), and all three Inaugural Balls on Monday evening.
“Everyone will be safe, everyone will be happy, and we will, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
She revealed the two necklaces she always wears since her mom, Vanessa, gave her them as a birthday gift.
Kai’s video also showed her shaking hands with Elon Musk and watching him talk to his son backstage at Trump’s rally.
She then went back to the hotel to get ready for the President’s candlelit dinner, when she had to decide between Sherri Hill gowns in red, navy, and gold.
She ended up picking navy before talking through her decision to do a lighter makeup look.
“I don’t really like stuff on my face,” Kai admitted.
“I like the soft glam so it’s not a whole lot of make-up. It looks amazing on me, I think.”
TIKTOKER TEEN
Earlier in the video, Kai also reacted to the short-lived TikTok ban that shut the app down for Americans temporarily on Sunday.
“Thanks grandpa,” Kai said after Trump reinstated the platform.
“He took one for the team.”
At the end of her vlog, Kai wrapped up by saying, “Alright guys, we made it back to the hotel, we just left the candlelit dinner.
“Tomorrow’s the inauguration so we’re going to have a big inauguration vlog.”
It’s unclear when the second part of Kai’s vlog will be released.
