Kanye West’s former trainer Harley Pasternak reportedly called security on the “Donda” rapper after the pair had an awkward run-in at a hotel in Dubai.
Despite reports that West believed Pasternak was stalking him around the city, insiders told TMZ Wednesday that it was actually the fitness instructor who felt threatened by the encounter.
According to the outlet, the former friends were both at Atlantis The Royal Dubai resort on Monday evening when they came face-to-face.
The source alleges that Pasternak was making a dinner reservation at the concierge desk when West approached him and tried to give him a hug.
The celebrity trainer reportedly refused the gesture and asked the hotel worker assisting him to call security.
However, the “Jesus Walks” rapper had reportedly already left the area when backup arrived.
Page Six has reached out to reps for both for comment but did not immediately hear back.

West and Pasternak have a very rocky history stemming back to 2016 when the trainer called the police and paramedics on the rapper after he allegedly started behaving erratically during a workout. West was later hospitalized for the temporary psychosis.
West shared the texts purportedly sent by Pasternak, who is Jewish, on Twitter at the time.
While the trainer began the alleged message by offering to sit down and have an “loving, open conversation” with West, his tone quickly changed.
“Second option, I have you institutionalized again where they medicate the crap out of you, and you go back to Zombieland forever. Play date with the kids just won’t be the same,” the message continued.
While it’s unclear exactly when the pair’s relationship soured, West’s team told TMZ Wednesday that it was actually the Yeezy CEO who felty uncomfortable with Pasternak being around.
The father of four is reportedly in Dubai to celebrate Thanksgiving with his children.
Another insider told the Daily Mail that West found Pasternak’s presence at the same hotel “extremely suspect” and was “very concerned” about “his motives and intentions.”
“This is the man who threatened to ‘drug Ye to Zombieland.’ Why has he suddenly shown up here?” they said.
However, sources told TMZ that Pasternak is overseas for business as he owns more than a dozen gyms in the Middle East — specifically Dubai.
