Kristin Davis has candidly revealed the real reason she was reluctant to end her romantic relationship with Alec Baldwin.
The 60-year-old actress dated Alec at the dawn of the 2000s, when she was at the height of her stardom as Charlotte York on Sex And The City.
Alec was a major celebrity in his own right, having acted in such beloved films as Beetlejuice, The Hunt For Red October and Glengarry Glen Ross.
Even though they could relate to the experience of nationwide fame, Kristin and Alec’s dalliance was ultimately not fated to last.
When the time arrived to end things with him, she revealed to her Sex And The City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, that she was apprehensive about moving forward.
Now, she has divulged the reason behind her hesitation. Despite admitting that her reasons were uncomfortable to vocalize, she discussed them on her friend Rob Lowe’s podcast Literally!.

She was uncertain about whether to end her relationship with Alec because of the ‘love’ she had for his ‘incredible’ house in the Hamptons.
‘This is the thing – Alec Baldwin was so rich by the time I dated Alec Baldwin, okay? Can I just say that straight out?’ Kristin said.
‘Like, one of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him is that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett,’ she recalled.
‘I remember, I was at work and I was like: “Sarah Jessica, I just don’t know if it’s gonna work out with Alec, but I just really love that house,” which is literally one of the only times I have felt that way, do you know?’ she admitted.
‘But I’m like: “I don’t wanna break up with this person because I like his house!” It’s so embarrassing to say that out loud, but it’s true.’
Alec acquired the estate for $1.7 million in 1995, significantly expanding it in the intervening years before he put it on the market in 2022.
He began trying to sell the house amid the legal troubles he faced over the fatal shooting on the set of his western Rust the previous year.
The saga culminated in a judge dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec in connection with the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

She was uncertain about whether to split from Alec because of his ‘incredible’ house in the Hamptons, which he is seen promoting on YouTube last year while attempting to sell it
Last month, he relisted the property for $19 million – a $10 million markdown from the 2022 asking price – but is still yet to find a buyer.
Kristin was prompted to tell the story about Alec when Rob asked her, on his podcast, about an anecdote she previously relayed about another ex.
Last month, Kristin revealed that she once lent $5,000 to a struggling actor she was dating, only for him to ghost her, on her own new podcast Are You A Charlotte?.
When Rob asked Kristin whether Alec was the actor who borrowed the money, she laughingly denied it, pointing out how wealthy he was when she dated him.
‘I so would never have needed to lend Alec Baldwin $5,000, my God!’ the Colorado-born actress said in the midst of gales of laughter.
Kristin ultimately never married, but is the proud mother of two children – Gemma, whom she adopted in 2011, and Wilson, whom she adopted in 2018.
Meanwhile Alec has a 29-year-old daughter called Ireland by his first wife Kim Basinger and seven more children with his current wife Hilaria.
Alec and Hilaria are the parents of Carmen Gabriela, 11, Rafael Thomas, nine, Leonardo Angel Charles, eight, Romeo Alejandro David, six, Eduardo Pao Lucas, four, Maria Lucia ‘Lulu’ Victoria, four, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, two.
