Lawyers of the Delphi Killer Share Video of the Suspect ‘Bridge Guy’ and Seek Conviction Appeal

Attorneys for the man convicted of killing two Indiana teens in 2017 have released the video shot by one of the girls before their murders.

The Weineke Law Office filed an appeal for Richard Allen, who was convicted, and shared the video on a website named “RickAllenJustice.com” using the term “transparency.”

During Allen’s 17-day trial, the 43-second video was only shown in the courtroom. Allen, aged 52, was found guilty by the jury in November and was given a 130-year prison sentence the following month, as reported by CrimeOnline.

The video was recorded by Libby German while she and Abby Williams were walking on the Monon High Bridge in Delphi on February 13, 2017. Known as the “bridge guy” video, it captured the moment when the girls encountered an individual who directed them to leave the railroad tracks and head down the hill, where they were later discovered deceased.

The video briefly shows Williams walking along the track — with someone following along behind her — but for most of the time, the camera is pointed down at the rocks and brush. Near the end, a male voice is heard saying, “Guys,” and German responds, “Hi.” “Down the hill,” “bridge guy” says. The video lasts a few more moments.

Allen’s attorneys filed their appeal on Tuesday. They claim false testimony was presented at trial that will insure their client’s conviction is overturned.

During trial, the prosecution presented the multiple confessions that Allen allegedly made after his arrest and other evidence.
